Acting as Sudanese Legal Counsel to Allen & Overy, who were representing and advising a consortium of international institutional creditors in proceedings against the Government of Sudan and the Central Bank of Sudan resulting from their sovereign debt default
- Advising entities involved in project finance, including lenders, sponsor organisations, project organisations, and off taker
- Providing counsel on bank guarantees, including corporate guarantees
- Counselling clients on bank security systems and implementation in compliance with Sudanese law
- Advising on Sudanese Central Bank regulations including international transfer of foreign currency
- Advising clients on debt assignment involving foreign currency and foreign entities
- Rendering legal opinions concerning financial transactions and their compliance with Islamic finance as is required by Sudanese law
