El-Amin Omara is a Commissioner of Oaths and Lawyer and is SCLO’s Real Estate and Administrative Law practice leader. Mr. Omara worked for the National Electricity Corporation (NEC) for more than 32 years, where he was responsible for the organisation’s land portfolio, providing him with a thorough understanding of real estate issues involving land registration, expropriation and allocation. In this role, he was also responsible for negotiating settlements for those affected by building of dams, thermal, solar and wind electricity plants.
Mr. Omara’s vast experience includes advising local and foreign investors on projects in the land and energy sectors, as he brings substantial expertise in this area, garnered through his unprecedented work with NEC. He received two higher diplomas in public & private law, and earned a Master’s degree in Administrative Law in 2009. Mr. Omara’s work has also included serving as the legal advisor to the Ministry of Electricity & Dams.
